Why you should REALLY be afraid of China.

Forget the frequent reports in Hong Kong newspapers of brickings and robberies in Shenzhen. Forget Rumsfeld's concerns about China's military buildup. Sure, China's a threat--in ways you likely never even considered. For instance, I'd rather not imagine the gruesome incident that led to the following sign appearing on the Hong Kong-Guangzhou through train:

And as of December 2005, Yunnan Province was not a good place to be a spud,

a yak,

Or a mannequin.
